Later, he came to Dordt College. After 10 years of teaching Spanish at Unity Christian High School, Rob founded Fairview Concrete Construction Inc. (the name was later changed to Sioux Concrete Construction). While growing up in Michigan, Rob worked summers for Burgess Concrete Construction where he learned many of his concrete skills. During the summers, while not teaching, Rob did concrete work for friends.
